DXG Digital Camcorder

DXG separates their digital camcorders into two broad categories which are HD or high definition camcorders and the less expensive yet still decent quality "standard camcorders" which I like to call them DXG digital cameras instead of camcorders.

My recommendation is that if you are in the market to purchase a digital camcorder then you should seriously take a look at the DXG digital video cameras and likewise if you are looking for a decent digital camera then you should take a look at the standard camcorders because feature to feature DXG probably will give you more bang for your buck.

DXG 506V: The DXG 506V digital camcorder is an all in one device which is an upgrade from the 305V which we will talk about next. What you need to know about the DXG 506V is that it records video, capture still pictures, is an mp3 player, pc camera and sports a 5.1 megapixel digital camera. DXG 305V: The DXG 305V models has some of the features of it's big brother (see 506V above) such as the ability to take videos, capture still image, voice recording, MP3 play back and can act as a webcam. the biggest limitation I see with this model is that the camera is only 3 megapixels which is very small in this day and age.

DXG 301V: The 3 megapixels alone with less quality video capture make this camcorder best suited for individuals on a budget or as a gift to a teenager.

202V Video Camera: A 2 megapixel camcorder that really has passed it time. You need a lot of natural lighting to get even decent quality from this camcorder.

Now the DXG video camcorders mention above are not the only products nor are they the best quality that DXG has to offer. I included them here because these are the models that I get the most questions about mainly because they can be found very cheaply on the web because they are somewhat dated.
